Alba Medina Flores is a serial entrepreneur as well as an investor in global start-ups. Alba is shareholder and Commercial Director of Grupo Fame-Altozano, a private Mexican holding primarily comprised of car dealerships, real estate developments and financial services. Previously, Medina Flores was Manager of Mergers & Acquisitions at Fibra Uno -the first and largest Real Estate Investment Trust in LATAM- Investment Banker and Private Banker at Credit Suisse, and Equity Research Analyst of infrastructure companies at Grupo Bursátil Mexicano (GBM).
Alba has been an active member in over 18 boards that include Citibanamex, Consejo Michoacano de Negocios (first woman in history to become elected), Mundo Ejecutivo, Nacional Financiera, Aeroméxico (replacement), Demeter Entrepreneurship Platform, Urban Land Institute, Festival Internacional de Música de Morelia: Miguel Bernal Jimenez, Grupo Fame, Grupo Altozano, Consejos Editoriales de Grupo Reforma, Forbes LATAM, among others.
Medina Flores holds a B.A. in Finance from ITESM in Mexico City and an MSRED degree from MIT in Cambridge where she was selected as Fellow of the Legatum Center for Entrepreneurship and Development. Some of Alba´s hobbies include blogging about women empowerment and inclusion at the Huffington Post, supporting young Mexican artists and mentoring young entrepreneurs. Alba is involved with multiple organizations for women empowerment worldwide and enjoys speaking in national and international panels as well as keynote conferences on women empowerment and entrepreneurship that include ASCOA in New York and the Global Women´s Forum Summit in Deauville, France. Alba was selected in 2016 as a Rising Talent of the Women´s Forum for Economy and Society and was named ¨Entrepreneur of the Year¨ by the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Guadalajara (tech hub in Mexico).
