Carlos Robles was named Vice-president of Bombardier Aerostructures and Engineering
Services Mexico on August 21, 2017, in charge of all the manufacture operations of the
company in the country, for the different business and commercial aircraft programs of
Before taking on the position of Vice-president, Carlos was General Manager, responsible of
designing and executing the productive strategy of the manufacture facilities and electrical
harnesses, at Bombardier’s manufacture centers in Mexico.
Carlos joined Bombardier as Director of Operations in 2011, after serving througouht 12 years in
different leaderships positions at Volkswagen Mexico.
In the year 2000, Robles received his degree as Mechanical Engineer from the University of the
Americas Puebla (UDLAP in Spanish). Subsequently, he obtained a Master in Direction of
Operations with an specialization in Manufacture Systems from the University of Nottingham
(2003). Also, he holds a Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification from the University of California.
In November 2013, Carlos graduated with honors from its Doctorate in Direction of
Organizations from the Autonomous Popular University of the State of Puebla (UPAEP in
Besides of its responsibilities within Bombardier, since September 2016, Carlos serves as
President of the Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (FEMIA in Spanish), the
association which gathers the different aerospace companies of the country, with the goal of
promoting the development of the aerospace industry. Likewise, he is councelor of the
Aerospace Engineering program, and doctoral advisor at UPAEP.
